Fire Dept. officials rescue cow from well in Annur

The fire services squad rescued a cow that had fallen into a 25 ft. deep well after two hours of struggle.



Tirupur: Fire Department officials rescued a cow that had fallen into a 25 ft. deep well in Annur on Tuesday.

Ramakrishnan, son of Palanisamy of Allampalayam, next to Annur owns land and cows. One of his cows fell into a 25 ft. well in the early hours of Tuesday, while out grazing. The animal reportedly struggled for over 5 hours in 10 ft. water but was rescued by the fire brigade who arrived at the spot on information from Ramakrishnan.



The fire rescue team led by fire station officer Balakrishnan rescued the cow alive, after two hours of struggle. The locals thanked and appreciated the diligent effort of the fire department officials.
