Urban local body elections will be held in Tamil Nadu on February 19. The election code of conduct has been implemented from the day the schedule for the urban local body elections was announced.
The State Election Commission has thus announced the removal of political flags and symbols from the walls and those in public view. However, the flag poles have not been removed from the old bus stand at Kinathukadavu and the new bus stand areas.
Activists have therefore urged the State Election Commission to take swift action against those violating election norms.
