The city police have booked two police officers who had a brawl at the Battalion quarters and the incident has also been taken to the notice of the higher officials
Coimbatore: Two Battalion police officers in Coimbatore were booked over brawl. One of them sustained injurie,s as the other attacked with a cricket bat.
Ramachandran (32), working in the fourth battalion in Coimbatore andMuruganantham (30), working in the eighth battalion in Delhi live in opposite houses at the Battalion officers quarters in Coimbatore.
Reportedly, the duo got into a brawl on Friday all of a sudden. Enraged, Muruganantham attacked Ramasundaram with a cricket bat, and he is being treated at the private hospital for injuries sustained in the attack.
Based on Ramasundaram’s complaint, the Kuniyamuthur Police have registered a case against Muruganandham while, upon the complaints of Muruganantham's wife a case has been booked against Ramasundaram.
Muruganandam’s wife alleged Ramasundaram of involving in a dispute with her husband and demanded action.
The issue has been brought to the notice of top officials and investigations are underway.
