Coimbatore: The devotees and travellers are elated as IRCTC brings in a new train service between Coimbatore and Tirupati, which will run every week for the special darshan.
IRCTC (Government of India Public Sector Undertaking) operates various services with the aim to boost tourism by rail and air. People who have been confined to their homes for the past few months are returning to work, embracing the new normal, thanks to the relaxation of the state and centre curfew norms.
Against the backdrop of this, the Indian Railways has started a new train service between Coimbatore and Tirupati. Accordingly, the IRCTC (Public Sector Undertaking of India) has arranged for a special darshan in Tirupati every week. The yatra (journey) will be conducted with the central government's Covid prevention norms and security arrangements.

IRCTC has organized arrangements to visit Tirupati by train every week. The tourist fare is Rs 4,500/- (AC Coach) and Rs 3,300/- in Non-AC. The train will make pit stops at places including Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode. Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi
The fare includes train fare, Tirupati special darshan fare, Food (veg, morning and night), tour guide, A/C accommodation, A/C bus fare. Central/State Government employees can avail of LTC benefits.
