Coimbatore: At a government high school near Kinathukadavu, 10 teachers have tested positive for coronavirus. The government high school at Kovilpalayam Kaliyannanputhur near Kinathukkadavu has 29 teachers and 649 students study here.
The state government issued an order to close down schools due to the spread of corona infection in the state. Thus, students are attending online classes.
A few days ago, a teacher at Kaliyannan Puthur Government High School contracted corona. Of the 19 teachers at the school, 9 tested positive for corona.

Following this, on the instructions of the Health Department at the school, on behalf of the Kovilpalayam Panchayat Administration, spraying of disinfectant in government school classrooms and spraying of bleaching powder in the school area is being carried out.
