The Tamil Nadu Government has announced that the night curfew and the Sunday lockdown has been lifted and the temples will also be opened following the decrease in fresh cases of Covid in the state.

The Government of Tamil Nadu has issued a fresh notification relaxing various restrictions as the cases are slowing down. Permission to open temples on all days starting from Friday, and Sunday curfew is lifted.
Devotees are happy that the restrictions imposed on places of worship have been relaxed. After a gap of many weeks, devotees worshipped the Koniamman Temple in Coimbatore on Friday.
Similarly, devotees thronged the temples of Dandumariamman, Perur and Marudhamalai in Coimbatore.
