Coimbatore: The Bharatanatyam troupe from, Shree Natya Niketan School of Dance, Coimbatore, who participated in the Republic Day parade in the national capital was given a warm homecoming at the Coimbatore International Airport.
The 73rd Republic Day celebrations were held in Delhi which had in attendance, President Ram Nath Kovind. Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, other Union Ministers and three chiefs of the defence.
A parade of vehicles decorated with the legacies of India was also held. Subsequently, dance, music, and cultural programs were held to showcase the cultures of various states of India.
Fourteen students trained in Bharatanatyam at the Shree Natya Niketan School of Dance, participated and performed Bharatanatyam for 11 minutes.
The troupe was welcomed with bouquets of flowers by various artists at the Coimbatore International Airport.
