Voting for urban local body polls across Tamil Nadu will take place in a single phase on February 19. The Tamil Nadu Election Commission has announced that the counting of votes will take place on February 22 and that the election campaign should be conducted with Covid-19 restrictions. As a result, the offices of 10 legislators across Coimbatore were sealed off by local authorities in their respective areas.

Also, authorities affixed the name of the party to the boards with photographs of members of the legislature. It is to be noted that the office of all 10 legislators will not be open from tonight until after the election.
