The KG Chavadi police are investigating the death of a 11-year old boy who died of snakebite, while herding sheep in the field.
Coimbatore: The KG Chavadi police are conducting an investigation after a 11-year old boy died of snakebite while herding sheep on Wednesday.
The boy, Krishnakumar died after a venomous snake bit him while he was grazing sheep in the field where his father worked. The boy's father, Chinnarasu from Thirumalayampalayam, Moongil Thottam near Navakkarai on Palakkad Road is a wage labourer working in the farmland belonging to Karthik for the past 20 years.
Chinnarasu lived with his wife and two sons. His younger son, Krishnakumar (11), a Class 6 student at a Government school in the same area was reportedly bit by a venomous snake while grazing sheep at a field on Wednesday morning. Krishnakumar succumbed to death despite being rushed for treatment at the Coimbatore Government Hospital. The K.G. Chavadi police have registered a case and are investigating.
