Ahead of the 73rd Republic Day celebrations, surveillance is intensified in Tamil Nadu at major areas including at the airports, railway stations, bus depots etc., Vigil is stepped up at railway station in Coimbatore.
The passengers arriving at the station and their belongings are checked. The railway tracks and parcel office are also checked.
The railway police also interrogated people found to be suspicious.
The railway station premise is monitored through the surveillance cameras placed at multiple locations in the railway station.
With increase in spread of coronavirus infection, passengers are monitored if they are adhering to covid protocols.
