Coimbatore: The Mechanical Engineering Department in Karpagam Institute of Technology hosted a webinar on “Recent Developments in Internal Combustion Engines” on Saturday.
A press release issued by the educational institution stated that on behalf of Karpagam Institute of Technology, the KIT - Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) and Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a Webinar on ‘Recent Developments in Internal Combustion Engines’ on 22.01.2022. S. Sethupathi, Pre-final year student of Mechanical Engineering delivered the welcome address and S. K. Abbas, second year Mechanical Engineering student introduced the Chief Guest. The session was handled by the Resource Person Dr. M. Varatha Vijayan, Principal, Latha Mathavan Engineering College, Madurai.
The resource person explained about the overview internal combustion engines, stages of combustion and various pollution control techniques presently used in India. Then, he explained about ongoing recent developments and projects using internal combustion engines. The session was very useful for both faculties and students. At the end, a Q&A session was conducted, feedback form was distributed to the students. J. Saran, final year Mechanical Engineering student delivered the vote of thanks.
