The Electricity, Prohibition and Excise Minister of Tamil Nadu inaugurated the road renovation under the Tamil Nadu Sustainable Urban Development Project (TNSUDP)
Coimbatore: By performing a Bhumi Puja, the Electricity, Prohibition and Excise Minister of Tamil Nadu inaugurated the road renovation works under the Tamil Nadu Sustainable Urban Development Project (TNSUDP) implemented at an estimate of ₹8.18-crores to a distance of 6.06-km.
The Tamil Nadu Minister for Electricity, Prohibition and Excise Senthil Balaji inaugurated 6.06-km of road renewal works in East and North zones under Tamil Nadu Sustainable Urban Development Project (TNSUDP) and also the and pond renewal works at Vilankurichi, Konaar Pond on Saturday. The Minister performed a Bhumi Puja for the ventures and gave it an auspicious start.

Under the Tamil Nadu Sustainable Urban Development Project (TNSUDP) the tar roads are being relayed at a total estimate of ₹ 8.18-crores and a total distance covering 6.06-km in areas of East Zone including, Ward No.32, 37-Thanneer Pandal Road, Maheshwari Nagar Junction to Vilankurichi Bridge at an estimated cost of ₹ 528.35-lakhs for a distance of 2.6-km and Vinayakapuram Main Road under North Zone Ward No.30 at an estimated cost of ₹ 116-lakhs for a distance of 1.37-km, Chinnametupalayam Main Road under Ward No.28 at an estimated cost of ₹ 174-lakhs for a distance of 1.73-km.

The rehabilitation of Konar Pond in Vilankurichi village at an estimated cost of ₹ 10-lakhs under Namakku Naamey Scheme was inaugurated followed by this.
The event was attended by Municipal Engineer Ramasamy, former MLA N. Karthik, Former Town Panchayat President Payyakrishnan, Former Member of Parliament A.P. Nagarajan, Assistant Commissioner of East zone Marichselvi, Assistant Executive Engineer Sundarajan, Senthil Bhaskar and corporation officials and a large number of members of the public.
