Elusive leopard trapped on day 5 of hunt is safely released into jungle in Top Slip, Valparai

After a 5 day wait, the team of forest officials trapped the leopard from the godown in Kuniyamuthur and released the animal into deep forests in Top Slip in Valparai.



Valparai: After a 5 day wait outside the godown in Kuniyamuthur, the team of forest officials trapped and released the leopard into deep forests in Top Slip in Valparai.

The team of officials set up two cages outside the dilapidated warehouse at P.K. Pudhur near Kuniyamuthur in a bid to trap the animal. The leopard was hiding in the godown and was monitored through surveillance cameras.



The predator walked into the cage on Friday night.



The leopard was then safely released into the Varakaliyaru forest area near Top Slip after the medical team’s examination.
