The reservation list of the four newly-formed municipalities in Coimbatore district comprising Karumathampatti, Karamadai, Gudalur and Madukkarai has also been published, with local polls to be held in these municipalities for the first time.
With the already existing 18 wards in these local bodies, the Ward count has now increased to 27. Accordingly, the municipal reservation has also changed.
The details of municipal reservation are as follows:-
1. Karumathampatti SC, (General) -21 SC (Women)- 1, 3Women (General)- 4, 5, 7, 9, 15, 17, 19, 22, 23, 24, 26, 27.
2. Karamadai SC, (General)- 6, 8, SC, (Women)- 15, 17, Women (General)- 9, 10, 11, 12, 16, 19, 21, 22, 23, 25, 26, 27.
3. Gudalur SC (General) - 23SC. (Women)- 7Women (General) - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 10, 13, 14, 19, 22, 25, 26.
4. Madukkarai General) - 4, 23SC, (Women)- 3, 27, Women (General) - 1, 2, 5, 9, 11, 12, 13, 16, 20, 22, 25, 26.
The other Wards that are not mentioned in the above list are general and the post of Chairman in Karamadai and Madukkarai Municipalities has been allotted to general category women.
