Coimbatore: A 11-year-old boy was injured in a leopard attack near Valparai and is admitted to the Valparai Government Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.
Guest workers are reportedly overworked in the Good Waiting estate area near Valparai in Coimbatore district. At around 4.30 pm this evening, Prajnakasiya’s son Deepak was playing in front his house. Just then, a leopard lurking in a nearby bush struck Deepak.
Hearing the boy's cry for help, those nearby threw stones and chased the leopard away. The leopard ran into the tea garden. The injured boy was rescued and admitted to Valparai Government Hospital for treatment.

Doctors at the hospital are treating the boy for injuries caused on his back and neck in the impact of the leopard attack.
The incident has shocked the people of the area.
