Coimbatore: The foundation stone was laid for the construction of new office of the Vadapudur Panchayat Council on Thursday.
The Vadapudur Panchayat Council Office under Kinathukadavu Panchayat Union in Coimbatore District was functioning in the premises of Panchayat Union Primary School.
Bhoomi Puja for construction of new Panchayat Sabha building at a cost of Rs 23.5-lakh was held on Thursday. The damaged Panchayat Sabha office is demolished. Special pujas were performed and the foundation stone for construction of a new office building was laid.
The function was presided over by Panchayat Sabha President Abhinya Ashok Kumar. District Panchayat Member Rajan, Union Councillors Kalamani, Ramasamy, Kinathukadavu Municipal DMK Secretary Kanakaraj, Solavampalayam Panchayat Council President Senthil Kumar, Singaiyanpudur Panchayat Sabha President Ram Kumar and District DMK Women's Wing Deputy Convenor Shakti Saranya, Ward Members and Party Functionaries participated in the function.
