Coimbatore: The third coronavirus vaccination dose, booster, is being administered in Tamil Nadu on Thursday and the drive is underway in Coimbatore as well.
Booster vaccination drive, which is underway across the state, is being conducted in Coimbatore today (Thursday, January 20).
The camps are active at Coimbatore Government Hospital, ESI Hospital and Government Primary Health Centres in all divisions. The frontline field workers, people who are 60-years of age and older, with comorbidities are inoculated in the drive.
The booster shot is administered to those who have crossed 90-days after their second term of vaccination.
The front line workers, people above 60-years of age attended the camp with full zest and received their booster vaccines.
"Those eligible for booster doses must use this drive and come forward for vaccination. In the same camps, that are organised as part of the drive, those who have not yet been vaccinated with previous doses of the coronavirus vaccine, can also get vaccinated," District Collector G.S. Sameeran informed.
