Kavitha Devi serving in the Coimbatore Armed Forces Division lost her 2-sovereign gold chain on the 14th when she went shopping along with her family at the Crosscut Road in Gandhipuram.
Shocked to find the chain missing, Kavitha lodged a complaint at the Kattoor Police station. Suresh Sam Edward, (42), of Peelamedu, accidentally found the chain lying on the ground and immediately handed it over at the Kattoor Police station.
On investigation, it was confirmed that the jewellery belonged to officer Kavitha. The Assistant Commissioner of Police, Vincent appreciated Suresh Sam and made him hand over the jewellery by himself to Kavitha. In return, Kavitha thanked Edward appreciating his integrity.
