Coimbatore: The Covid Vax booster vaccination camp is scheduled to be held in the city on January 20, Thursday at all the Government Hospitals and health camps.
"There are 13 Government Hospitals in Coimbatore and the camp will be held tomorrow in 89 health centers. An eligible person can take advantage of this opportunity," stated Aruna, Deputy Director of Health for Coimbatore district.
With the third wave of Covid-19 intensifying across the country, medical experts have advised that the 3rd booster dose ought to be administered to those who have already been inoculated with both doses of the vaccine against Covid-19.
The booster vaccination dose began on January 10 for the frontline workers, health workers, people over 60 years of age and those with comorbidities. Over 2 lakh people are expected to benefit from the Covd Vax booster. As of now, 9,200 people have been vaccinated in Coimbatore.
