Coimbatore: The Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation Commissioner and SpecialOfficer, Raja Gopal Sunkara isolated himself at home after he developed Covid-19 symptoms.
Corporation sources stated that while the CCMC Commissioner has isolated himself due to fever, the Health Department has denied reports of Health Officer Satish Kumar and others being Covid-19 positive.
With the onset of the third wave of Covid-19 infection in Coimbatore, frontline workers, Government officials and police officers seem to be catching the infection, with the per day count in the city crossing 2000.
