The Health Department of Tamil Nadu has reported that the prevalence of Corona infection has decreased after the inoculation percentage increased in Tamil Nadu.
In case the vaccinated people develop an infection, they will experience only mild sore throat, cough, cold, and fever and they do not develop life-threatening symptoms such as shortness of breath. In addition, vaccinated people recover within 2-3 days of such infections. Those who did not get their jabs are the ones at a higher risk.
During the first and second waves of covid-19, a large number of people were infected and hospitalized for treatment. Severe lung damage, excessive shortness of breath, and a severe shortage of oxygen beds was common, especially during the second wave of the pandemic. Moreover, the number of people in need of intensive care and artificial respiration (ventilator) assistance was also high.
