Coimbatore: The police department of Coimbatore has stated that the shops without having CCTV cameras installed in their premises, will be prescribed to the Corporation to have their license revoked. The police department has issued a notice in this regard to the shop owners.
Commercial establishment owners are notified on behalf of the Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department to install CCTV cameras in shops, offices, and commercial complexes in municipal and corporation areas across Tamil Nadu.
CCTV cameras are not installed in many shops and offices in Coimbatore corporation areas. Following the order, the city police issued a notice to shops and offices without surveillance cameras on Monday in Variety Hall area. The shop owners have been warned of being recommended to the Corporation to ban their licenses if CCTV cameras are not installed as per the government order.
