The Samathuva Pongal festival was celebrated at Pollachi Taluk police station to spread the message that people from all walks of life, irrespective of caste or creed, are one. Deputy Superintendent of Police Tamilmani participated and celebrated the occasion by cooking sweet Pongal in the new pot.
Police officers appeared with joy wearing new clothes. People from all religion participated in the celebration.
