Coimbatore: After a five hour struggle, the forest department and trained snake catcher, Santosh rescued two venomous Viper snakes from a farmland near Kuppepalayam village in Thondamuthur area of Coimbatore district.
Ganesh, a farmer from Kuppepalayam village on Friday noticed two Viper snakes mating in his Cowshed. He immediately informed the forest department and Santosh, a trained snake catcher.
Santosh who rushed to the spot, carefully rescued the snakes which were mating in a cowshed in the farmland. The snakes were rescued using a long pole and dumped into a bag and later left released into dense forest area.
The farmers expressed huge sigh of relief as the snakes had already killed lambs and cows grazing in the area.
