The former AIADMK spokesperson V Pugazhendhi has lodged a complaint petition with the West Zone IG Sudhakar accusing Rajendra Balaji of slander and inciting religious conflict.
Coimbatore: The former AIADMK spokesperson has lodged a complaint petition with the West Zone IG Sudhakar accusing Rajendra Balaji of slander and inciting religious conflict.
Former All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam spokesperson, V Pugazhendhi submitted a petition to the Coimbatore West Zone IG Sudhakar. In the petition, Pugazhendhi had accused ex-AIADMK Minister Rajenthra Balaji of hate speech inciting religious conflict. He had mentioned that Rajendra Balaji had insulted Ex-CM Karunanidhi, the present DMK Chief MK Stalin, and their family during the meeting in 2021.
“The ex-Minister also spoke inciting an attack on MK Stalin, while he visited Thondamuthur for the campaign and also insulted Union Minister Raja.”
He subsequently told the reporters that the former minister Rajendra Balaji has spoken poorly of various politicians, including the MNM Chief Kamal Haasan, which is against the election code of conduct. He demanded legal action against the ex-Minister.
Pugazhendhi accused the prosecution of not filing proper documents against Balaji and that was the reason behind granting bail to him. He also stated that the police department were in support of them in the previous regime and did not take action, and has filed a complaint petition.
Pugazhendhi stated that he had been advised by the Inspector General to also file a complaint with the DIG.
