Flowers were brought to Coimbatore Flower Market from Nilakottai and Sathyamangalam and were sold at slightly higher prices. Jasmine was sold at 2,800 per kg, Mullai (Arabian Jasmine) 2,100, Jadhipoo 1,000, Chrysanthemum 200, Kozhikondai (Velvet flower) 160, and Tulasi at 40.
Similarly, the markets saw a higher sale of sugarcane, pot, turmeric bunch, poolaipoo-check name, avarampoo, palm sprout, rice, jaggery, vegetables, and fruits.
The price of a kilogram of lemon was sold for 50, guava 60, apple at 190, pomegranate 150, Mosambi was sold at 55, banana varieties like Kadali, Poovan at 40, Rasthali, Karpooravalli for 35 at the RS Puram Vegetable market on Wednesday.
