Coimbatore: Special Sub- Inspector and Chief Constable who were on vehicle check duty in Meenkarai Road in Pollachi have been suspended for bribery allegation. SP Selvanagarathinam issued orders on Wednesday.
Special Sub-Inspector Mathisekaran and Chief Constable Saravanan, who were on vehicle search duty on 11th, Tuesday, near the Irattai Kan Bridge, Meenkarai Road under Pollachi West Police Station limits were accused of taking bribes from a section of the drivers of heavy vehicles and trucks transporting cattle.
