The Tirupur Shri Veeraraghava Perumal temple witnessed devotees worship Lord Venkateshwara strictly adhering to the Covid-19 guidelines of the government, on the occasion of Vaikunta Ekadesi on Thursday.
Tirupur: On the occasion of Vaikunta Ekadesi, the Swargavaasal (the doors of Vaikunta) were opened for the devotees on Thursday, 13th of January.
The Tirupur Shri Veeraraghava Perumal temple was all decked up on the occasion of Vaikunta Ekadesi on 13th of January this year.
The temple witnessed its devotees worship Lord Venkateshwara strictly adhering to the Covid-19 guidelines of the government, on the occasion of Vaikunta Ekadesi.
The deity was adorned with glittering clothes mounted on the Garuda Vahana (eagle mount) alongside the goddesses, Sridevi and Bhudevi. Special pujas and special Thirumanjanam were held for Shri Veeraraghava Perumal on the occasion of the opening of ‘Swargavaasal’ at 3 am this morning.
The deity was brought through the Swargavaasal at 5:30 a.m., mounted on the Garuda Vahan, and graced the devotees. Thiruveediyula (rally) was cancelled this year due to the coronavirus outbreak and the devotees were let for darshan placing the lord inside the mandap.
Devotees are not allowed to participate in the Thirumanjana puja and the celestial gate programme and were allowed to worship Perumal from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
