Tirupur: The Paazee Forex scam case hearing was held online on Tuesday due to the Covid-19 outbreak and Justice Ravi, who heard the case, adjourned it hearing to the 20th of January.
The Paazee Forex Trading, an online finance firm in Tirupur, cheated its 1,433 investors of 870-crore and the case trial was being held at the TANPID Court in Coimbatore. A charge sheet was filed in the case and the trial was going on for 10 years. Following the conclusion of the witness hearing last November, the arguments on both sides were open.
The case hearing was held online on Tuesday, as direct trials are banned due to the corona outbreak.
The prosecution and the defence counsel appeared through video conferencing. Justice Ravi adjourned the hearing to the 20th of January, as the defence counsel appealed for time to present the case.
