Coimbatore: Coimbatore district police raised awareness about women's safety, Coronavirus and Omicron infections among students of Government and private schools in the border areas of Madukkarai, KG Chavadi.
Acting on the orders of S Selvanagarathinam, the Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police, the city police created awareness among students of Government and private schools about crimes against children and women, child marriage, drug abuse and threat of Covid infections.
The police team also explained the consequences of ragging among students and expounded on crime prevention, POCSO, CCTV camera fitting, following the rules of the road, the importance of wearing a mask, and the Sago App introduced by the Coimbatore District Police to protect a locked house. The police team also emphasized the importance of wearing a mask and the intensity of the spread of Coronavirus and Omicron. They also assured the students not to stress or indulge in drug addiction, and to reach out for help in the event of family problems or depression by calling 'Vidiyal' immediately at 04222-300999.
