Coimbatore: BJP activists led by Vellore Ibrahim, National Secretary, BJP Minorities, on Tuesday, staged a protest in Coimbatore against the Punjab government.
When Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Punjab on the 6th, he had to call off his visit, mid-way, due to protests by various organizations against the Prime Minister. The incident caused great discontent between the BJP and the Hindu community. Condemning the incident, the BJP has been staging protests in various places.

Protestors urged that the Chief Minister of Punjab should resign immediately and said the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu should condemn the incident. He accused the Tamil Nadu government of prosecuting BJP members.
