The All India Samathuva Makkal Katchi members submitted a petition to the Corporation Commissioner demanding solution for dumping waste and stray dog atrocities in Ward 86 in Thondamuthur.
Coimbatore: A petition has been submitted to the Corporation Commissioner Raja Gopal Sunkara seeking solution for stray dog menace and waste dumped in Ward no.86 of Thondamuthur, Coimbatore.
The All India Samathuva Makkal Katchi members submitted a petition to the Corporation Commissioner demanding solution for dumping waste and stray dog atrocities in Ward 86 in Thondamuthur region.
The petition read that “Faeces are being brought in a truck and dumped in the area every day, in the residential areas in Thondamuthur area under Ward 86 of Coimbatore. People in the area fear infections and disease spread which is visited by 5,000 students studying in the nearby school. This has also been causing discomfort to the commuters and the residents staying in the area.”
They had stated that despite repeatedly informing to the Thondamuthur constituency MLA SP Velumani, no action was taken. Continuous demonstrations led to the stoppage, tragically, for a limited period. The wastes are once again being dumped, and the public’s plight is sorrowful.
The All India Smaathuva Makkal Katchi members have appealed immediate action from the Commissioner for the petition submitted.
