Coimbatore: The tribal girl underwent a medical examination at the Pollachi Government Hospital following a complaint of gang rape.
Dhanraj, a volunteer, lodged a complaint at the Anaimalai police station in Coimbatore district. According to the complaint, a 12-year-old girl was abducted by a gang near Topslip on January 1 and she was gang-raped. He said that stern action should be taken against the unidentified persons involved in this. The police filed a case under the POCSO Act on the complaint.
Following this, the police went to the area where the girl lived and interrogated the girl's parents and the girl. According to the police, they said they are investigating the complaint that if the girl was sexually abused.
