Tirupur District Rural Development and Local Government Employees' Unions staged a protest in front of the Tirupur Municipal Corporation office demanding the abandonment of the decision to privatize the sanitary work.
Coimbatore: The order to privatize the sanitary work issued by the Municipal Directorate will jeopardize jobs of 3,000 contract day labourers, drinking water workers, drivers and health campaigners from 6 municipalities including Tirupur Corporation Udumalai and Palladam.
