Coimbatore: The land survey to lay roads near CODISSIA Complex will be carried out and the landowners are also prepared to give the area required for construction of roads.
The Corporation sources have stated that the details of the acquired lands for constructing roads in CODISSIA will be surveyed.
The east zone officers said, “Following a petition submitted by the Housing and Urban Development Minister S Muthusamy to the Coimbatore District Administration and Corporation, it has been decided to start the survey. Residents have demanded improvement of the road at Sathyamangalam Road, Avinashi Road, SITRA Junction and the Kalapatti Road connecting the Vilankurichi to Avinashi Road.”
On the other hand, the public stated that, “The road construction project between the CODISSIA Main Road to the private school located there, will connect the NRI garden, SR Avenue, Co-operative E Colony in the north and Cheran Managar and connects Vilankurichi Road to the West”
They added that the corporation's work is simplified as most landlords are willing to provide the areas required for the road constructions as planned, while the rest, who have occupied the lands, are ready to vacate if the Corporation begins the work.
With this, talks have to be held with only a very few landlords about the price of land for the corporation.
