Upon the orders of the District SP Selvanagarathinam and acting on the tip-off, the Periyanaickenpalayam Police went in search for the person who was reportedly involved on illegal sale of ganja, Dilip Sakhani, 39, son of Sivachandra Sakhani of Bihar, is staying in Periyanaickenpalyam was arrested.
About 1.100 kilograms of Ganja which he had for sale were recovered from him and he was later remanded to judicial custody.
Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police has warned of strict action against those involved in illegal activities. Public are requested to inform immediately to the Coimbatore District Police Control Room No. 94981-81212 and WhatsApp Number 77081-00100 and has assured to keep the informants’ details confidential.
