The incident of two different thefts in Coimbatore has put the police department on their toes to nab the burglars. Prakash, (40), of Sulur Mailampatti is a manager of a private company in Coimbatore.
Prakash who left for Kodaikanal with his family on the 2nd was shocked to find the front door open when he returned home on Wednesday.
A look inside revealed two sovereigns of gold jewellery from the bureau and silver items from the puja room had been looted. Prakash lodged a complaint with the Sulur police.
Police and fingerprint experts rushed in and recorded the fingerprints. Police have registered a case and examined the CCTV cameras installed in the area and are looking for the robbers.
Similarly, Karthikeyan (37), a financier by profession from Singanallur lodged a complaint with the area police station on the missing three lakh cash from his house, while he was out to Tirupur with his family.
Police have registered a case and are investigating.
