The transport employees protested against the TNSTC Pollachi-Coimbatore Road Depot alleging irregularities, caste bias in appointing staff, and embezzlement, and demanded the state government’s action.
Pollachi: The employees from the state transport corporation in Pollachi-Coimbatore Road Depot upheld a protest against the irregularities in appointing the staff.
The Pollachi Coimbatore Road Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation depot functions in three divisions. Allegations are rife against the authorities in the depots here and the transport corporation employees protested in front of the depot.
The agitators claimed that the employees were not appointed properly and rather divided on the basis of their caste, and also alleged the administration of embezzlement and corruption.
The employees raised slogans in protest against the transport divisional authorities. They also demanded that the government intervene directly and resolve the irregularities in the appointment.
