A major accident was averted after the front tire of a government bus separated from the vehicle near Sendrampalayam division as there were no passengers inside.
Coimbatore: The front tire of a government bus separated near Sendrampalayam near Kinathukadavu. A major accident was avoided due to lack of passengers inside the bus.
The government bus numbered 4b started off from Pollachi bus stand to Mettubavi area near Kinathukadavu with passengers this morning.
The bus reportedly broke down midway while returning to Pollachi after dropping them off and was transporting passengers back to Pollachi.
The passengers were dropped off and the bus was taken to the depot in Pollachi. All of a sudden, the front wheel on the left side detached off the bus as it approached the Coimbatore-Pollachi road Sendrampalayam area.

The drive who stumbled initially was smart enough to control and stop the bus on the roadside. A major accident was averted due to the absence of any passengers on the bus.

The employees from Pollachi transport depot were engaged in installing the bus wheel.
