Tamil medium students have been exempted from fee payment.
Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu State Board of Examinations has directed Class 12 students to pay their public examination fee by Jan. 20, but has exempted Tamil medium students from fee payment.
Grade 12 students are charged by the Tamil Nadu State Board of School Examinations for their Public Examination. The fee notification for the public examination has been issued for the present academic year. The circular from the Director of Examinations, Sethurama Verma to the Principal Education Officer in Coimbatore and other states stated that “The exam fee has to be paid online by 20th of January. As in previous years, students with Tamil as their medium of instruction have been exempted from paying tuition fees. Students studying in Government and Government-aided Schools, Adi Dravidar, Arundhatiyar, Scheduled Tribes, and Most Backward Classes are exempted from paying examination fees in any language of instruction. Students studying in self-financing courses in Government-aided schools, students in self-financing, matric and Anglo-Indian schools should also pay their fee.”
