Valparai: The Valparai police arrested a habitual ganja dealer for selling the banned substance and seized 1.100 grams of ganja from him on receiving information on Tuesday.
Valparai Inspector of Police Karpagam inspected various places and Das, a resident of Kamaraj Nagar area, was arrested for selling ganja here on Tuesday.
Based on the information received, the Valparai police led by Inspector Karpagam conducted searches in the area. Das, who had in his possession, 1.100 grams of ganja was arrested during the patrol last evening in Kamaraj Nagar.
Reportedly, Das had been to jail several times for selling ganja. He was released from jail a few days ago and was found selling ganja again. The police seized the narcotic substances from the accused, produced him before the court, and later imprisoned him.
