Due to heavy fog in Nilgiris, motorists have been struggling to drive and were forced to use headlights even during the day.

More fog enveloped the tea gardens and roads reducing visibility to a minimum during the day.
Motorists hence were forced to drive with their headlights blinking on and off during the day.
Normal life was affected for locals including traders.
