Coimbatore: The National Executive Committee Meeting of the Communist Party of India (CPI) will be held in Coimbatore between January 26 to 28, for three consecutive days at the party office 'Jiva Illam.'
The CPI General Secretary, D Raja briefed the media at the party office and stated that the National Executive Committee Meeting of the party will be held in Coimbatore for three days from January 26 to 28 at the party office 'Jiva Illam.' The All India Conference is to be held in Vijayawada from October 14 to 18, this year.
“We will assess the political situation in India and the challenges faced by the people, and discuss the position of the Communist Party of India at this meeting. BJP and RSS organizations have started acting aggressively and as RSS aims to create a religious regime in India, they are dividing people in the name of religion, caste, and language culture to accomplish it. BJP is being used to achieve this," alleged D Raja.
He added that the Bharatiya Janata Party is working under the guidance of the RSS. "The Shakha Training in private schools merely incites violence among school kids, though they are from different backgrounds. The Central Government is dismantling public sector undertakings and PM Modi’s policies signal that the economy is being given away to corporates," added D Raja.
"Studies have shown that India ranks at 101st place out of 116 countries suffering from starvation and alleged that the Prime Minister did not apologise to the farmers on the Agri-law issue but to the corporates. The privatisation of banks in India led to bank employees protesting, and the working sector is fighting for self-reliance in the country. The youth of the nation are also worried about their future with unemployment," he stated.
“12 members of the Parliament have been suspended. It is the bulwark of federalism and it remains dysfunctional. It should be known that democracy is put at great risk if the Parliament is paralysed. Also, there will be no political changes due to the PM’s visit to Tamil Nadu and the Government of Tamil Nadu is working towards protecting the rights of the State. Talks have already been done about the merger of the two Communist parties. The Communist Party of India was the first to appeal and a joint venture would increase the votes in Tamil Nadu," reiterated the CPI General Secretary, D Raja.
