The Electricity Board has announced that there will be a power outage in the city's Somanur area on Thursday due to monthly maintenance work at the Somanur sub-station. This would include areas including Somanur, Karumathampatti, Krishnapuram, Samalapuram, Ramachipalayam, Thottipalayam, Senthil Nagar, Paramasivanpalayam and Kannur.
Executive Engineer Senthil Kumar stated that there would be no power supply between 9 am and 4 pm on Thursday.
