Swami Vivekananda Fitness Centre and librarians submitted a petition at the Collectorate arriving with fitness equipment urging action against an official who gave false information to the Commissioner of Municipal Corporation.
Reportedly, the corporation had shifted the gym from Thermutti Pavalam Road, was shifted to another corporation location for the expansion of the school in 1985. The petitioners stated that the existing corporation officials were threatening to vacate their training center from that shifted location.
The fitness center members alleged that, despite vacating the place on their own, the officer had reported to the CCMC Commissioner that they had evacuated the place with the police force. Immediate action against the officer for wrongful information has been sought and the petitioners requested that they be provided with space for the gym elsewhere.
