Tirupur: A protest was held in front of the Tirupur Kumaran statue on behalf of the Makkal Paathukaapu Amaippu which condemned the rising number of sexual offenses against women and children and demanded stern action against those involved in such activities.
The protest was attended by a number of parties, including TMC, Communist Party of India, MDMK, Viduthalai Siruthaigal.
Slogans condemning those involved in violence against women and children were chanted. A large number of people participated.
