Coimbatore: Police have arrested a Rajasthani man in connection with a Rs 20-lakh robbery at a cell phone shop in Gandhipuram. There are cell phone and spare parts shops operating in the Gandhipuram area of Coimbatore. Pratap Raj, a native of Rajasthan, runs a shop selling cell phone parts in a shopping mall on Crosscut 8th Street in Gandhipuram. On the night of the 13th, he closed the shop as usual and went home.
An unidentified person broke the shutter lock of the shop at midnight and robbed the money in the shop and escaped. Police were investigating and searching for the culprits, following a complaint lodged by the same owner with the Air Force.
