Coimbatore: The DMK cadre conducted programs as part of the Youth Wing Secretary Udhayanidhi MLA’s birthday in which an infant was named ‘Inbanidhi’ and the land provided on behalf of ex-Chief Minister Karunanidhi as ‘Udhaya Nagar’.
On the occasion of Udayanidhi Stalin's birth anniversary, the land provided on behalf of former Chief Minister and DMK head Karunanidhi was named ‘Udaya Nagar’.
The Tholampalayam Panchayat near Karamadai, Kerala border area in Coimbatore district is a large area inhabited by the tribal like Irulas and Arundhaya people. The then Chief Minister M Karunanidhi allotted a place for the Arundhaya people living in the area in 1996 and now more than 50 families live there.
On the occasion of the birth anniversary of MLA and DMK Youth Secretary Udayanidhi Stalin on 27th, various programs were conducted in the state.
As part of the celebration, the land was named ‘Udaya Nagar’, in the program led by Karamadai Western Union Secretary Surendran. They also distributed sweets to the people.
An infant in the area was named Inbanidhi in the program. Dholampalayam Panchayat Council President Jaya Senthil distributed sweets to the public and District Executive Committee Member Senthil and Karamadai Union Youth Organiser Thayanur Pradeep distributed books to students.
