The supervisor and the operator were reckless in not turning off the machine switch due to a power outage. Amirul went down to the machine and cleaned it. Then, when the power supply was restored, suddenly the machine started running. Amirul got stuck in the machine.
Immediately the supervisor switched off the machine, rescued Amirul from inside the machine and took him to Coimbatore Government Hospital.
The doctor, who examined him there, said he had died on the way. Perur police have registered a case against supervisor Gokul Krishna and operator Marimuthu for negligence.
