Coimbatore: The BSNL Officers Association staged a dharna protest seeking various demands including permanent promotion at work.
Putting forth various demands including permanent promotion, the Federation Association of All BSNL officials staged dharna inside the BSNL office premises in Saibaba Kovil Area.
Their demands are:
1. All eligible officers should be promoted immediately.
2. Immediate withdrawal of Reorganization orders
3. E2 E3 standard pay scale for grades equivalent to JTO, SDE should be implemented.
4. Regular DGM promotion should also be given to DGM (T/F) posts.
5. Relaxation in eligibility service for CAO promotion.
6. Permanent promotions should be given excluding temporary promotions.
The agitators stated that they would go on a three-day nationwide hunger strike to press these demands.
